IC Rocket League Trio Win Back-to-Back Games To Defeat Ashland
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Ilinois College Esports Rocket League trio team of Glenn Conway, Dwight Duijeneveld, and Josh Hallanger faced off against the Eagles of Ashland Thursday evening in Meraki Gaming Center. The trio won games four and five to win the match by the final score of 3-2 for the final victory of the regular season. The Rocket League team recorded a 3-3 overall record.
The team was working to implement new ideas and strategies to work on our midfield coverage and so we struggled as we were adapting our play style. We decided to revert back to a few things from previously as the series went on but we did just enough to win the final game of the regular season.
The schedule for us is really rough as we're on spring break during the first round of playoffs so the match vs Cornell next week will be extremely hard. I'll have players playing on their old laptops and one player will be on vacation so he'll have terrible ping. I'm still confident that even with those hardships we can beat Cornell next week however.
