Four Blueboys Earn All-Region Honors from D3football.com

Complete All-Region Teams

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Four members of the Illinois College football team earned All-Region honors from D3football.com it was announced on Tuesday.

Wide receiver Collin Brunstein and defensive back Cory Walbert were both named second team All-Region 5 while running back Thomas Little and linebacker Charlie Patterson were on the region's third team.

Brunstein is a senior from Jacksonville, Ill. who had 91 catches for 2,200 yards and 31 touchdowns. All three totals led the nation at all levels and are Midwest Conference and Illinois College single season records.

Walbert, a junior from Sherman, Ill., led the team with six interceptions while recording 38 solo 22 assisted tackles.

Little is a senior from Walnut Grove, Ga. who rushed for 1,030 yards, an average of 114 yards per game and scored seven touchdowns this season.

Patterson, a senior from Auburn, Ill., concluded his record setting career by recording 74 solo tackles and 24 assists. His 24 ½ tackles for loss led the Midwest Conference and set the new single-season school record. He also recorded eight sacks, 11 quarterback hurries and an interception.

IC finished the season with a 9-2 overall record which included an 8-1 slate in the Midwest Conference. The league champions earned a berth in the 2023 NCAA Division III Playoffs for just the second time in school history.
