Blueboys Draw #3 Wartburg in the NCAA Division III Playoffs

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Illinois College football program is officially in the field for the 2023 NCAA Division III playoffs, the organization announced Sunday afternoon.

The Blueboys will travel to Waverly, Iowa on Saturday to face third-ranked Wartburg. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon at Walston-Hoover Stadium.

IC (9-1) earned an automatic bid to the playoffs as champions of the Midwest Conference and enter the contest on an eight-game winning streak. The Knights are champions of the American Rivers Conference and bring an unblemished 10-0 record into Saturday's game.

This is the second NCAA Division III Playoff appearance in school history for the Blueboys.

Tickets for the contest will be $10 for adults, $7 seniors/students/children (5-18) and children under 5 will be admitted free. There will be no presale of tickets and the stadium's ticket window will open at 10:30 a.m. No passes will be accepted.

The championship field consists of 32 teams in a single-elimination tournament. The Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the national championship, will be played on Dec. 15, 2023, at Salem Stadium in Salem, Virginia.
