JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's basketball team will open the 2024 NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday against Dubuque on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., the NCAA announced this afternoon.

Tipoff is set for 4:20 p.m.

The Blueboys finished the regular season with a 23-4 overall record, won the Midwest Conference regular season title with a 13-3 slate, and swept Ripon and Grinnell in the conference tournament over the weekend to earn the league's automatic bid.

The Spartans are 21-6 overall and finished 11-5 in the American Rivers Conference. They received an at-large bid after reaching the conference tournament semifinals.

This is the second consecutive tournament appearance for IC and the third in program history. Last season, the Blueboys lost at Wheaton, 79-66, in the opening round.
