Lady Blues Tennis Conclude Season At MWC Tournament
MADISON, Wis. - The Illinois College women's tennis concluded the 2023-24 season by participating in the Midwest Conference Women's Tennis team tournament Saturday at Hitters Sportsplex. The Lady Blues were dealt the Pioneers of Grinnell College and dropped the match by the final score of 0-5.
The Lady Blues sent four student-athletes to the team tournament and started the competition with doubles matches. By starting the match out down 0-3, the reigning MWC champions in Grinnell and IC played two doubles matches.
In the No. 1 doubles match, the duo of Lily Ingram and Sabrina Ingram battled their opponents but dropped the set by the score of 0-8. In the No. 2 doubles match, IC's Madison Eastin and Hannah Lueke teamed up and conquered three set victories but dropped the match by the final score of 3-8.
With the completion of this match, the Lady Blues have offically closed out the 2023-24 season.
