Two Victories for Trimingham at Thursday Night Special

Complete Results MONMOUTH, Ill.

Aleese Trimingham earned two of the three event titles for the Illinois College women's track and field team at the Monmouth Thursday Night Special at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.

Along with Trimingham's victories, the Lady Blues got a title from Keyleigh Thomas in the javelin.

Trimingham's wins came in the 100-meter hurdles (16.00 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:17.07). Teammate Patricia Rivera was second in both events, posting times of 18.24 in the 100 hurdles and 1:21.85 in the 400 hurdles respectively.

Ashley Drake brought home a second-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:45.30.

Thomas won the javelin with a throw of 31.45 meters. Carson Beyers was second in the event with a mark of 31.32 meters.

Sydney Kuper finished second in the discus (39.40 meters) and third in the shot put (11.16 meters). Maddie Benson came in second in the pole vault (3.26 meters) with Paige Nowak in third (3.26 meters). 

Lacie Schultz took second in the long jump at 5.06 meters.

A portion of the Lady Blues will run at the Drake Relays on Friday. The entire team will return to Monmouth for the Fighting Scot Invitational on May 4th.
