IC's Sophia Kriegesmann Earns MWC Defensive Performer Of The Week
GRINNELL, Iowa. - The Midwest Conference has released their recipient for Defensive Performer of the Week for the sport of women's soccer. Illinois College's Sophia Kriegesmann earns MWC Defensive Performer of the Week for the week of October 9-15, 2023.
Kriegesmann who is a first-year goalkeeper recorded a career-best 13 saves in the MWC match against Monmouth College on October 10th. Kriegesmann put on a highlight reel with several unbelievable diving saves that eliminated the Fighting Scots scoring opportunities.
The Lady Blues will travel to Lake Forest College on Saturday, October 21 for a MWC matchup starting at 11:00 AM in Lake Forest, Illinois.
