JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College turned in one of its finest all-around performances of the season and swept Greenville, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-17) in a non-conference match Wednesday at Sherman Gymnasium.

The victory moved the Lady Blues to 14-12 overall on the season while Greenville dropped to 20-8. The victory also allowed IC to avenge a 3-2 loss to the Panthers on September 5.

The IC attack was led by Paige Knuffman who collected a team-high 16 kills with only three errors in 25 attacks for a .371 hitting percentage. Ligaya Garibay added 11 kills and hit .300 while collecting a team-best 14 digs for the night. Summer Brandis dished out a match-high 35 assists to go along with her 12 digs for the Lady Blues.

Along with Garibay and Brandis on defense, IC had Jen Humbolt and Alyssa Burglund (who had four block assists) with 12 digs apiece as well.

The Lady Blues return to Sherman Gymnasium for the final time in the 2023 season Saturday for a pair of matches on Senior Day. A Midwest Conference match-up with Beloit will start at Noon and a non-conference tilt with Wartburg will close out the day at 4:00 p.m.
