IC Dance Team Earn Third Place In Team Performance At Nationals

ORLANDO, Flor. - The Illinois College dance team traveled to the Sunshine State and participated in the four-day 2024 College Classic National Championship at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The Lady Blues had three separate performances; team, jazz, and poms. As a team, all three dances advanced to finals.  

The student-athletes that participated for IC were Kelana Baker, Emma Boyd, Sabrina Crabtree, Rylee Dodd, Olivia Moore, Olivia Treffinger, and Avery Westlake 

In the team performance category, IC displayed their talents on the BIG stage and captured a third-place team trophy with a final score of 85.56. 

In the genre of poms, the Lady Blues had a wonderful routine that earned a eighth-place finish with a final score of 85.04.

The final performance IC took the stage for was in the category of jazz. The Lady Blues battled the tough competition and captured a ninth-place finish with a final score of 84.72. 

All the above judged scores are the highest scores the Lady Blues have received in the history of competition! 

IC had three seniors in Baker, Crabtree, and Treffinger that participated in their final Nationals competitions for their collegiate careers.  

With the conclusion of this event, the Lady Blues dance team has officially closed out the 2023-24 season.
