Eight Total Podiums; Two Wins at 2024 Unified Spring Championship LAN

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College Esports hosted the two-day 2024 Esports Unified Spring Championship Lan last weekend in King Fieldhouse. As a team, Illinois College earned eight total podiums and two victories from current students. 

The League of Legends 5v5 team of Zachary Dimond, Ekko Nguyen, Noah Horsman, Carlos Cortes, and Tristian Fissette (alumni) were crowned the champions. 

The Valorant 5v5 team of Noah Postin, Noah Horsman, Dwight Dujinevald, Austin Schaffer-Snider, and Josh Hallanger worked fantastic together and eliminated all opponents and took the team title. 

In a 1v1 Valorant match, Postin was named the individual winner by defeating his opponent. 

The IC Esports program will prepare for next season and be ready for the 2024-25 academic competition schedule in the fall.
