Mazrimas Named First Team All-Region 9 by D3hoops.com

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Illinois College's Jake Mazrimas has been named first team All-Region 9 by D3hoops.com.

Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region teams are eligible for All-America selection.

This is the 23rd year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 27th annual All-America selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.

Mazrimas, a senior from Lockport, Ill., was named the NABC All-District team earlier this week and was selected as the 2023-24 Midwest Conference Player of the Year last month. During the season, Mazrimas was named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week three times and was selected to the All-Tournament teams at both the Merris Invitational and the Smokey Ballenger Classic.

Mazrimas led the Blueboys in scoring (17.4 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg) and helped IC to a 24-5 overall record, including 13-5 in the Midwest Conference. The Blueboys won both the conference regular season and tournament titles and recorded the school's first NCAA Tournament victory.

The 6-6 forward etched his name throughout the school's record book during his final campaign as well. Mazrimas finished his Blueboy career as the school's all-time leader in 3pt. field goals made with 255 and ranks second all-time in both scoring (1,771 points) and rebounding (978 boards). He is the only player in Illinois College history to score 1,700 points, grab 900 rebounds and hit 200 3pt. field goals.
