Men’s Cross Country Completes Season with 23rd Place Finish at Midwest Regional
WAVERLY, Iowa – The Illinois College men's cross country team finished the 2023 season by finishing 23rd at the annual Midwest Regional Championships on Saturday at the Max Championship Cross Country Course.
The Blueboys were led by Devin Boggs who finished 122nd overall with a time of 27:08.4. Elgin Scherff was second for IC and 137th overall with a time of 27:29.9 while Nick Hannig was close behind in 139th, posting a time of 27:34.0.
IC also had Will Detmer run 28:11.4 to finish 159th overall while Robby Biesenthal took 165th overall in 28:23.5. Caden Dettmer crossed the finish line in 172nd place with a time of 28:49.1 and Ryan Gerdes clocked a 29:03.7 to finish 178th.

The men's team completed in a the 8k race and earned a sixth-place finish out of nine teams. The women's team completed in the 6k run and finished without a team score.
