IC Cross Country Competes at Les Duke Invite
GRINNELL, Iowa, - The Illinois College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to compete at the Les Duke Invite hosted by Grinnell College Saturday morning. The men's team completed in a the 8k race and earned a sixth-place finish out of nine teams. The women's team completed in the 6k run and finished without a team score.
The Blueboys were led by Devin Boggs as he finished in 58th-place overall with a time of 28:38.88. He was followed closely by Elgin Scherff and Robby Biesenthal as they both finished the run in 72nd-place and 73rd-place overall respectively.
The Lady Blues were led by Alexia Finch as she finished in 55th-place overall with a time of 27:26.58. Kairy Mercado-Ramos was the second finisher for IC with a 59th-place finish and a time of 27:59.30.
Both teams will look ahead as they will travel to participate in the Beloit Invitational on Saturday, 10/30 at 11:00 AM.
